Core concepts
These distinctions are the foundation for reading peptide information without turning an early result, proposed mechanism, or database entry into more than it is.
Concept 01
A proposed biological mechanism can explain why researchers ask a question. It is not the same as observing a meaningful outcome, and neither automatically predicts what will happen in a different model or population.
Concept 02
Work in cells, isolated tissue, animals, observational human data, and controlled clinical trials each contributes a different kind of evidence. Translating between those layers requires caution.
Concept 03
Research activity, trial registration, and marketing approval are not interchangeable. The exact indication, population, and jurisdiction all matter when describing regulatory status.
